Old beat-up pavers hiding under a deck don't do anyone any favors. They shift, they crack, they collect weeds - and they make the whole backyard feel neglected. That's exactly what we were dealing with here before we got started.
We tore out the old paver surface completely and expanded the footprint to make better use of the space. The covered area under the upper deck got a full concrete pour, and we extended it out to include an open patio section along the back of the home. More usable space, better flow, cleaner look all around.
For the finish, the homeowner went with Sonoran Tan colored concrete. It's a warm, earthy tone that ties in naturally with the home's exterior without looking forced. Colored concrete like this isn't just about aesthetics either - it's integral color mixed right into the concrete itself, so you're not dealing with a surface coating that fades or peels over time.
The result is a solid, low-maintenance surface that actually fits the home. No more shifting pavers, no more patchy grass underneath the deck. Just clean, durable concrete flatwork that holds up and looks good doing it.
If your backyard patio is overdue for an upgrade - whether that means tearing out what's there or starting from scratch - this kind of work is exactly what we do. Concrete flatwork done right makes a bigger difference than most people expect.
